BRAZIL, FAZENDA DUTRA
Everything I want out of a good Brazil and then some: an absolute workhorse and daily-drinker that will shine in any preparation method from espresso to pour-over.
A well-behaved bean to roast -- maybe a little too well behaved: I often struggle to hear first crack -- that takes well to low-and-slow roasting to really extend the maillard reaction and bring out the sweetness and complexity to what is a fairly simple cup (and that's a good thing).
My first full bag of green coffee, and a worthy investment. The bag even came in patriotic colors (for Brazil)! Our first staple, and boy howdy is it a good one.
