-REYNARD

We engage in direct trade wherever possible, and aim for maximum traceability and transparency in everything we do. "Fairtrade®" is little more than a rubber stamp, and does little to address the root of the issue, but Fairtrade® certification is certainly a good sign.
There are very few regulatory authorities or independent watchdog groups in this industry so it is largely left to companies with good conscience to self regulate. It is far easier to make claims of ethics part of our branding than it is to put said ethics into action. We ask that you take every claim of good conscience made my any coffee roaster with a grain of salt, us included. Everyone is trying to sell you something. We are no exception.
We are here to sell you coffee. The only concrete evidence of our ethics are that it is good coffee. This is our only claim: that good working conditions for all people in the supply chain makes for better coffee. Ultimately it's not about our conscience: it's about coffee. Do we want to still have it in 50 years? Then we had better start treating eveyone more fairly...
