Who we are

Cafe Reynard is a Worker Co-operative. This means that the lovely people you meet behind the bar are also the owners of the business. We are structured this way to increase accountability, quality, and ownership of decisions.

We here at Cafe Reynard come from various backgrounds; engineering, culinary, and even the federal government. As a reflection of this experience, we strive to create an environment where everyone can truly be themselves. One where no one feels the need to fully put a mask on who we are.

As members of the community, we feel a business’ impact on the environment should be a top priority. This is why we have chosen to only use bio-degradable and compost-able items when possible. When sourcing ingredients for our beverages, we seek to use product from local farms first.

Our beans are all sourced directly from the farmers who grow them, so we can support them and their local communities rather than a middle-corporation. Those beans are roasted in house by our roasting experts in small batches.

Our current location co-exists in the Idle Hands Brewery. We offer hot beverages such as cider, coffee, tea, and a selection of pastries. We also sell and grind coffee beans.
